NOTTING HILL PARIS XV - FĂȘte de la musique

Being half in London half in Paris, playing out at CLASH HI-FI is problematic for soundclash's radio historic presenters. Flex in London is still running the show and producing tunes under the FLEXITIME imprint. Augui is now in Paris occasionnaly DJing and running events as AUGUI DUB SOUND. This was meant to be a CLASH HI-FI reunion but as Flex is unwell, it will be only be augui dub & friends, but same vibes as usual: playing out reggae dub ska dancehall & dubstep for the dancing crowd

On SATURDAY 21st JUNE, for la fete de la musique, we'll be at 41 or 61 rue des Entrepreneurs, paris XV, metro charles michel or commerce, from 6pm til midnite.

no juggling, just positive festival vibes

introducing IMAM BAILDI

This is our latest project... Somewhat deviating from the usual reggae and remix thing, but in fact keeping the core of what we stand for: bringing the old and the new together to create new style...

Flex created a new style of music, HIPHOPSTEADY with his chart topping Tupac & Alton Ellis "nothin' like rocksteady"... In we come again at pionneering the shape of today's music with the introduction of the FOLKLORIC MASHUP... IMAM BAILDI is the word... Check It!!

Reggae music is something that I came across a long time. It was around the ghetto blaster era.. You know when guys were walking the streets with a huge blaster on their shoulders.. You know those guys.. I remember them well. They left a lasting impression on me.. about music in general and reggae music in particular.

Thanks to miniaturisation. things have moved on. Those guys have disappeared too. What they did for reggae music has been truly viral.. With the advent of internet, reggae music is becoming more and more popular. Perhaps internet has given this root music the exposure that it needed.

Finally, I have to solute Bob Marley for one thing that he has taught me. His success and worldwide reputation is due to one thing and one thing only. Focus.. The King of reggae just focussed on just one type of music and that was reggae..

RARE GROOVE FESTIVAL - Sat 24th March - Marseille

Yes people dis ya month we won't be doing our usual thing in Brighton because we are heading to the beaches that are further down south... Massilia aka Marseille!! First off from the CONSENSUCKS people, myspace/consensucks they are bringing together bootleggers from Toulouse, the Kariboo Crew, and electro clash DJ Tina Lestate for an ecclectic night of goodness...

This party is a mere 10 euros and the bar is cheap so all the roads leads south as this first festival should be a jam of influences and positivty! Check the fly and get more infos on the myspace.
